Hello and Welcome,

Vintage 2023 making its move and changing color.
Vintage 2023 making its move and changing color.

This is a Special Vintage Update: Pinot Noir In Flagrante!

It just got real. Oregon’s Willamette Valley Pinot Noir harvest is coming into view. Up until now, the vines have kept the wine berries incognito. Masked in green foliage, the wine berries have remained mostly disguised as just another part of the vine. But they are not just another part of the vine, and now is the time they are making their move!

The BIG Picture

And we know where they are going. They are headed to The Great Cluster Pluck! While some employ the use of machines to get them off, all of our clusters are hand harvested. Then it is off to the winery to get weighed!

But not today. We still have 6 weeks or so of ripening left to go. And who knows, with the outstanding weather we have had so far, Vintage 2023 may be the beneficiary of a picture-perfect harvest window. Too soon to tell.

Kindest Regards,

Dena & Ernie
